Service is provided on a “job” basis for which a single price will be quoted for the service or services requested. For example, if you call and ask for a computer to be repaired and for your home wireless network to be setup, we would discuss the scope of what you need done and then give you a single quote for that job. We want you to be satisified with all aspects of our service; which is why we want you to know the cost in advance, so there will be no unpleasent surprises when our appointment is completed.

 

The charge for diagnosing a problem with your computer will be applied to the repair charge, if you have us perform the service. If you do not wish for us to repair your computer and only need us to perform diagnostic work, we will do so at the standard hardware and software service rate listed below. Always be wary of shops which offer "free" or low, flat-rate diagnostic services. These shops are in the business of selling computers and parts; service is just a side business. At Sentinel Computers, service IS our business.

 

Emergency service is charged at a straight hourly rate.

 

Standard Rate Schedule:

 

Hardware and software service	$75.00/hour
Network service	$100.00/hour
Consulting, security, and privacy service	$125.00/hour

 

 

Please keep in mind that this rate schedule is just a general guideline. Most of the commonly requested services are billed at only a 1-hour rate even though it often takes more than just one hour.

 

Service area

Our primary service area is the greater Albuquerque metro area, the East Mountains out to Moriarty, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, and Placitas. We are happy to make service calls outside of this area, but due to distance and time concerns, may need to charge a nominal mileage rate. Please call 407-2122 for more information.

 

After-hours service

Our normal hours of operation are 8am – 9pm, 7 days per week (excluding major holidays). If you need to make an appointment for outside of these hours, an additional $50.00 fee will be charged.
